Remembrance Poem.

I can smell the smoke
burning wood to smouldering ash
I want to run away
and reunite with my family
I can hear the wheels of tanks
rumbling across the rocky roads

All enemies...let me continue my life
I am going to be history
but hoping not
I can see planes
preparing for battle
in the sky like deadly lightning bolts

All enemies of the war... let me continue my life
Helicopters are creating winds
I can smell it too
I am petrified to the spot
afraid to join the battle

All enemies of the war... let me continue my life.
But still the war carries on
will it ever end?
Yes it ends at 11/11/11
Now I can continue my life.
